Milkadamia Unveils Industry-First 2D-Printed Flat Pack Oat Milk in US Market

Milkadamia is poised to revolutionize the plant-based milk sector with the introduction of its Flat Pack Organic Oat Milk, the first flat-pack oat milk to hit the US market. The official launch will take place next week at the Newtopia Now trade show in Denver, Colorado.

This innovative product, crafted through a proprietary 2D-printing process, transforms oat milk paste into ultra-light sheets, significantly reducing packaging waste by 94% and product weight by 85%. Each Flat Pack contains eight sheets, allowing consumers to create up to half a gallon of oat milk by blending the sheets with water or soaking them overnight.

Jim Richards, CEO of Milkadamia, commented, "Our ethos at Milkadamia, deeply rooted in regenerative farming and sustainability, guides us in shaping a more sustainable trajectory for our planet. The Flat Pack design is a proactive step in reducing ecological costs, aligning with the pre-cycling movement by focusing on waste reduction at the manufacturing stage."

While Milkadamia is the first to introduce flat-pack plant-based milk in the US, the concept has seen success in Europe. German company Veganz began producing similar oat milk sheets in 2023, expanding its reach and production capacity in the following year.

The Flat Pack Organic Oat Milk is set for retail distribution in January 2025, adding to Milkadamia’s existing range of products available at major retailers like Whole Foods, Sprouts, Target, and Amazon.

Richards added, "With our Flat Pack line, we’re redefining industry innovation by cutting packaging waste and carbon emissions, furthering our commitment to responsible eco-stewardship."
